Swing

Renz Chester R. Gumaru

by Renz Chester R. Gumaru

The swing moves gently, back and forth,

a chase of dreams, of pain, of worth.

We reach out high to touch the sky,

then drift back down and leave a sigh.

It pulls us close; it lets us go,

a rhythm every heart will know.

Each backward pull clears space to rise,

each push brings hope, a new surprise.

We hold on tight, or we let go;

the swing will teach what hearts must know.

Its steady motion, soft and true,

reminds us what we have made it through.

Swing through shadows; seek the light,

and find your strength in every flight.

For every fall, there’s a joy to cling;

a life that loves the endless swing.
