Moon Haiku

Joshua St. Claire

by Joshua St. Claire

I think

I’ve been here before

Mirror Moon

deepening violet the white of the night moon

peach moon

the Susquehanna

opens his lips

beyond the pines waning moon

Saturday’s child

the moon fills

an empty room

the sound of streetlights killing moon

the Song Moon

slipping through our fingers

oak and I

an eye for an ice moon

farmhouse wedding

I remind the bride

to consider the moon

my son asks me

why we are here

day moon

rose clouds

the last daylily prepares

for the end of time
