Checkmate

Renz Chester R. Gumaru

by Renz Chester R. Gumaru

Pawn walks very slow,

dreams of crown,

Crossing the battle’s

silent ground.

Knight leaps wild,

twists through fate,

Dodging shadows,

love and hate.

King just waits,

trapped alone,

If moved too late,

the game is gone.

Queen stands tall,

brave and free,

Shapes the board,

sees destiny.

Bishop whispers,

diagonal schemes,

Truth in lies,

hope in dreams.

Life is a game,

win or fall,

Find your move,

or lose it all.

We believe that literature and art are a global language that unite its speakers and our enjoyment of it can be shared in ways that are fun, thoughtful, and full of innovation. We invite you and everyone to who loves art and books or who just love interesting things to contribute to our literary review!
